Trips running monthly from October 2026.
Different seasons bring different waves. Consider the following when making an enquiry.
Seasonal BreakdownAutumn (March – May): The premier season. Winds turn easterly (offshore), and the swells are consistent without the extreme, stormy intensity of winter.
Winter (June – August): Prime time for big wave surfers. High-intensity, large swells hit the coast. While powerful, winter stroms often brings strong onshore winds and unsettled weather.
Spring (September – November): A great transitional period , with cleaner, moderate-sized waves, with swell consistenly remaining high.
Summer (December – February): Warmer water and milder, smaller waves, perfect for beginners. Due to large number of accessible waves there are still plenty of swell magnets for intermediate & advanced surfers.

Is this trip right for my surf level?
The South West offers everything from sheltered beach breaks and mellow points to world-class reefs and heavy slabs, making this expedition suitable for beginner-intermediate through advanced surfers. You should be comfortable in the ocean and able to paddle and catch your own waves; our flexible itinerary lets us match breaks to the group's ability and the forecast. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll give you an honest assessment.
What are the waves like in the South West?
Expect real variety: sheltered beach breaks for building confidence, fun point waves for progressing surfers, and powerful, renowned reefs for advanced surfers, all within reach thanks to our flexible itinerary. Whatever your level, expect stunning coastlines and uncrowded sessions.
What boards should I bring?
Bring two boards if possible: your everyday board plus a second suited to smaller or larger conditions than usual. Newer surfers should just bring the board they're most confident on. Quality hire boards are available if you'd rather not travel with your own, and we'll send a detailed equipment guide based on season and ability once you've booked.
What's included in the price?
Trips typically include accommodation, local transport, surf guiding, selected activities, on-the-ground support, and pre-trip planning assistance. Flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, optional activities, and equipment hire are generally not included unless stated on the trip page, and a full inclusions/exclusions list is provided per expedition.
What's NOT included in the price?
Unless stated otherwise: international/domestic flights, travel insurance (required for all participants), visa and entry costs, meals/drinks not listed in the itinerary, personal spending money, surfboard hire, optional activities outside the itinerary, and airport transfers outside the designated windows. We can help arrange flights through our ATOL-protected flight partners.
Do I need a visa?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality, and it's your responsibility to have the correct documentation, we'll point you to the relevant government resources and can help clarify what's needed, but check entry requirements as early as possible since rules can change.
Are flights included?
No, flights aren't included, giving you flexibility over departure airport, airline, and schedule. We can help source flights through our ATOL-protected partners, and we'll provide recommended arrival/departure times once you've booked.
What airport should I fly to?
Perth Airport. Transport south to the accommodation is included as part of the expedition, with full pickup details provided before departure. We recommend waiting until your place is confirmed before booking flights.
What accommodation is provided?
You'll stay at our exclusive South West coastal retreat in Busselton, accommodating up to 10 guests with a dedicated host and surf guide throughout.
